Me as a person, not just a computer...
Well, you've some how stumbled upon my blog and have decided that I'm worth at least five minutes of your time. It humbles me, it really does. Because who am I to sit here and write about my opinions on things that I'm hardly qualified to do. Even if now you'd just like to stop, I'm going to ask to you to keep reading for another minute to at least learn why I'm putting my time and energy into this.
My name is Meghan, and I live in a small town in Michigan. I'm 18 years old and I'm a Sagittarius. My favorite color is any shade of purple, if you couldn't guess! I love playing sports and I'm very competitive; I'm experienced in softball, volleyball, and tennis. When I was little I always loved to talk, unless you were a stranger! It wasn't hard to get me to tell you the truth either, because I ALWAYS had an opinion about something. I live with my mom, brother, sister, brother-in-law, and my nephew. It's as good as it can be with a tyrant of a toddler running around throwing out orders. I go to community college, because I'm poor. Ever since I can remember, I've always loved to write. When I was little I used to ask my mom to write letters to people all the time, but the catch was I didn't know how to read or write. So, how you say did I write these letter's? My mother and I would sit down and I would recite for her what I wished the exact context of the letter to be. She would write it(as legibly as she could) and I would copy the strokes onto a separate piece of paper(as legibly as I could). And so began my love of words. Through out my childhood I wrote a great deal of stories...that were mostly horrible! You'd think that this would've stopped me or lowered my inhibition to pursue a writing career; if anything, it has made me pursue my passion with more gusto! So without further ado, I've started this blog with a few things in mind. I'd like to be able to share my opinions on topics that are current and maybe not so current in the teenage world of girls. I don't think that there enough young women my age that feel they have a voice. I take great pride in being a woman and as a woman, and a human being, I like to receive respect and reciprocate it. That being said, I hope to help girls and women of all ages learn to respect themselves more and to love themselves more. If I haven't scared you away yet and you still are just dying to know more about me, feel free to shoot me a message over on my contact page! |
